As\u00ed como durante los mundiales de f\u00fatbol nos convertimos en directores t\u00e9cnicos y en tiempos de crisis discutimos como si fu\u00e9ramos especialistas en la negociaci\u00f3n de deudas soberanas, <b>la pandemia nos forz\u00f3 no solo a cuidarnos, sino a asomarnos a vocablos y complejos conceptos t\u00e9cnicos para entender qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 pasando <\/b> y, especialmente, qu\u00e9 nos espera en el futuro pr\u00f3ximo.<\/p>\n<p>Con frecuencia, estos t\u00e9rminos se sintetizan en cifras que permiten cartografiar la propagaci\u00f3n del virus y sacar conclusiones. Pero, como siempre, la mayor\u00eda de los n\u00fameros (y las palabras) no quieren decir mucho sin un contexto que permita interpretarlos. Estos son los <b>diez \u00edtems que tenemos que tener en cuenta para entender d\u00f3nde estamos parados <\/b> .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"tests\" class=\"subtitulo-1\">Tests<\/h5>\n<p>Una de las medidas para seguirle el rastro al virus es identificar qu\u00e9 individuos est\u00e1n infectados con las ya famosas pruebas de PCR. La cantidad de tests fue eje de debate en la Argentina y el mundo. Hubo quienes plantearon que habr\u00eda que testear m\u00e1s masivamente, e incluso a toda la poblaci\u00f3n. Pero la mayor\u00eda de los especialistas argumentaron que ser\u00eda impracticable, porque no hay kits, m\u00e1quinas ni personal suficiente. Hay otra raz\u00f3n que complica la posibilidad del testeo \u00abmasivo\u00bb: el per\u00edodo de ventana que tiene la infecci\u00f3n. <b>La PCR empieza a dar resultados confiables al tercer o cuarto d\u00eda del comienzo de los s\u00edntomas <\/b> . O sea que antes de esa fecha, podr\u00eda arrojar falsos negativos. Esto hizo que mientras la OMS aconsejaba \u00abtestear, testear, testear\u00bb y no bajar de un 10% de positividad (cantidad de resultados positivos sobre pruebas realizadas), muy pronto comenz\u00f3 a discutirse cu\u00e1ntos de estos an\u00e1lisis hay que realizar para obtener una foto fiel de lo que est\u00e1 sucediendo. Y lo cierto es que no hay un n\u00famero fijo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a
